In1960s, the word "burnout" has been proposed by Bradley, after then theAmerican Psychologist Freudenberger made a further step to study and discuss thisdefinition,and finally this definition got a more profound and more specificelaboration with the help of the research into the extreme mental pressure of serviceworkers in1974. Afterwards, there have been emerging more and more scholarsspecified in the field of "burnout", including organizational behaviorist, sociologist,psychologist etc who have referred to "burnout" in their respective academic theories.It is found that burnout and excessive pressure can have bad effect on our health,such as cardio-cerebrovascular disease, mental phobia, depression, irascibility etc.Meanwhile, if the particular individual burnout behavior changes, the surroundingpeople, relatives, friends and leaders of organizations will be influenced negativelyand deeply. Burnout can bring psychological and physical troubles to people, makingthem lonely, repressed,depressed, and confused when they deal with the interpersonalrelationship, family or society or organization. Therefore, burnout will bring badeffect to individuals and teams, so making further research into burnout has been theeffective theory foundation of relieving this phenomena.This study adopted literature consultation, expert interview, mathematical statisticsto make research into Jilin Province professional team coaches about burnout. Theprofessional team coaches belong to an extremely special group, they shoulder hugepressure because of their unique living environment, working conditions and theirsophisticated social role. In recent years, the professional coaches burnout problemhas been a common issue among many specialists, learners, and social communities.Professional team coaches burnout is a kind of extreme reaction because they can’tmeet all kinds of pressure in this large environment, and an exhausted state afterthey depressed their own feelings, living attitudes and ego behaviour in a long term. Itis usually reflected in losing of self-interest, lowering the working satisfaction, andin weakening the working passion and sensation. The sense of professional burnoutcan be reflected in terms of physiology and psychology and other aspects. Thesebehaviors have affected physical and mental health and athletes’ future development,influencing our nation’s sports development deeply. The nature of the reason ofcoaches’ professional burnout lies in their physically and psychologically negativereaction resulting from the imbalanced cognition between their pay for their work and their repay, concerning athletes factors, family-work conflicts, organization structureand atmosphere, working assignment itself, professional development andinterpersonal relationship. Therefore, if we want to remove the coaches’ professionalburnout sense, we must take these six factors into consideration.
