Although the curriculum innovation has carries out for almost10years, the innovation still remains on its forms because of the pressure from the exams. This paper begins from the current situation of education, goes through the comparison research between the traditional inquiring experimental method and the three-dimensional tasks inquiring experimental method. It is tested by the results of the students’learning interest, their grades and their experimental abilities. It tries to finds out the different influence on the students.The paper mainly adopts the experimental method, assisted with the investigation method and experience summary method. The experiment is based on the Grade Nine text book of PEP, and the students are from Class Two and Class Four in Tianjin FangZhou Experimental Middle School. Class Two is the experimental class while Class Four is the comparison class. The experiment is based on the students’marks in the final exam in Grade8, the pre-investigation of interest and experimental abilities. The teacher adopts the inquiring teaching method to teach the students nine experiments in the text book. The teacher also redesigns the teaching plan to the experimental class from three dimensions, such as knowledge and skill, process and method, attitude and viewpoint of value. The teacher wants to develop and improve the teaching according to the three-dimensional tasks. The comparison class is taught with the traditional experimental teaching method but tested with the same level.The result shows that the inquiring experimental method is good for arousing the students’interest, promoting their marks and does good to their experimental abilities. Therefore, I conclude that this method is good to the students, the research is meaningful and it provides some data for further innovation as well.
