This research is based on the new textbook of chemistry at the firstsemester of the second year in high school, according the secondround of the new curriculum reform in shanghai. It launches anempirical research by using the strategies of organizing outline.Strategies of organizing outline are the organizing strategy thatrefers to the induction and consolidation of outline points of learningcontent. Through the use of keywords, network diagrams, eachcategory headings, chart, flow chart, as access to information index, students can memorize the learning content and master the key points. At the same time, students can reduce the rate of forgetting and theburden of memory. Therefore, teachers can help students applystrategies of organizing outline for effective classification of the learning,in order to improve their memory capacity and ability level. Teachingthe more complex concept, teachers should not only be orderlyorganization of the class, but also should pay more attention to makestudents understand the organizational framework and system ofchoroid. This research is an experimental research based on the core of thestrategies of organizing outline. Through the teaching practice by threeclasses of grade two at high school, through the comparison andanalysis of the data by unit exercises and comprehensive test, throughthe interactive links between teachers and students by questionnaireafter examination and reflect after correction, the results show that: oneclass improves the score higher than grade’s average0.1to0.4, twoclasses improve the score lower than grade’s average2.9and4.2to1.2and1.8, one class increases the number of student electing chemistryfrom3to8, one class reduces the failure rate from below grade’saverage3.4%to only1.6%, another class improve the excellent rate from0.1%lower than the grade’s average to2.8%higher. These dataconfirm that the high school chemistry teaching, which based on theapplication of strategies of organizing outline, can contribute to theimprovement of students score in chemistry, the improvement ofstudents initiative learning, and improvement of studentscomprehensive ability in chemistry learning. The present study is lack of control of students knowledge levelwhich is the potential interference factors of the experiment. If thefreshmen of chemistry learning were the research object, if the studywas able to be between one experimental class and another controlclass throughout the whole years of students’chemistry learning atschool, the results of this research should be more persuasive. |
