Research On Social Network Restructuring And Cross-Culture Adaptation Of International Students In China

As the development of China’s economy,the scale of international students in china expands gradually,education have broad prospects. At present. Research about international students ’cross-culturaladaption of Chinese academic circles are most in macro policy level, less in micro research and depthempirical research. The increase number of foreign students made a new problem to education systemand management model in China’s university.Research about the foreign students social network is good for social support system, slowing downstress in their life.The life international students in china not only have an effect on their study andmental condition, but also on evaluation and international image of the host country. As thedevelopment of education career about international students, it is realistic to notice Cross-Cultureadaptation of international students in China.This paper is focus on social network restructuring and cross-culture adaptation of international studentsin China. Research method which I choose is qualitative research method, including observation,informal conversations, interview and case analysis, etc. I choosed category analysis to analyseinterview materials.I observed international students about their interpersonal communication, studyand living conditions.The research about cross-culture adaptation of international students is from the perspective of socialnetwork, including three aspects. First, Cross-culture adaptation of international students, including thesocial culture and psychology adaption. Second, Social network restructuring of international students.From the scale of the network, central degree, close degree, heterogeneity and connection strength andother indicators. I researched about the adopting process. Third, the impact on the cross-culturaladaption of re-construct social network.This paper puts forward some tentative conclusion: First, the size of the social network aboutinternational students have impact on their cross cultural adaptation, the greater the scale is, the bettercross-cultural adjustment condition.Second, the relative position in social networks have impact oninternational students ’ cross cultural adaptation, the higher status of the network,the bettercross-cultural level. Third, the closer connection of the network, the more beneficial to its cross culturaladaptation. Fourth, the higher the heterogeneity of the social network is, the more beneficial to thesociety to the cultural level, but except its psychological adaptation. Fifth, the more strong relationshipis, the better psychological adaption, but it is against social and cultural level adapt, only on thecondition of strong relationship can provide a lot of resources to the social level.
