Abstract/Summary:
The information era has not been a strange theme. In the21st century, most countries have been speeding up the process of information literacy education in both primary and secondary schools, and now people can experience many concrete results. In order to allow our citizens to be able to adapt to the requirements of next-generation information society, China attaches great importance to information technology education in the various stages of education, providing wide range of IT courses. We have made great progress in nearly20years. China’s information technology education in the past few decades has created an educational miracle. The speed and scale of its development, as well as the development model are unprecedented in the history of world education. However, there are also many problems. This paper is a systematic study of information literacy education, analyzing nearly20years of literature and practical results with literature, history and comparison method. The aim is to promote the healthy development of information literacy education at the theoretical level.China’s IT education went through three major transitions of concepts in the development of more than30years:IT education, information quality education, and information literacy education. Changes in these three concepts promoted the development of information technology education in China. The practice of information education of our country goes in the forefront in the world, but the practice and theory do not match, or we can say there is even a larger gap between the two.This study aims to open China’s information literacy education research at the theoretical level on the basis of clarifying its development, to make people clearly understand the educational philosophy through introducing and analyzing related theories, and to enrich and develop the information literacy education theory in China. This paper focuses on the content of information literacy education in primary and secondary schools.The thesis is divided into five parts: The first part is introduction, including research background, objectives, significance, literature review, research methods and innovation.The second part is about the definition of the related concepts.The third part is the value of analysis of information literacy education in the contemporary primary and secondary education, mainly theoretical value and practical value.The fourth part is the discussion and analysis of the objectives and content of information literacy education in China’s primary and secondary education, including what they should be and what they are actually. It further discussed the aims and content of information literacy education. On this basis, the paper looks forward to the future development of information literacy education in China’s primary and secondary schools.Part five is the conclusion of this paper, summing up the achievements and shortcomings of the paper and providing personal opinion on the development of information literacy education in China.
