Music education is a required course in primary and secondary schools, and it is also the important content of education for all-around development in primary and secondary schools. For a better development of music education in schools, the National Ministry of Education promulgated "primary and secondary school music education in the new curriculum standards (experiment draft)".More than ten years later since it had promulgated, how about it’s implementation, how about it’s effects, and any other questions? Aiming at these questions, the study takes the present situation of music education in YunCheng primary and secondary shools as the study object, and systematically investigates and studies the developing situation in primary and secondary music education. According to the discovering qusestions, the study advances correlation countermeasures, to provide a reference basis for the advanced development in primary and secondary education. The study is coming to the below main conclusions:1. Primary and secondary schools in YunCheng don’t pay enough attention to music education, which makes music education in the relatively backward status, and the education effect is not very well,especially in the villages and towns.2. The music establishment and equipment of the primary and secondary schools in YunCheng don’t meet national required. The music equipment in most schools don’t well-appointed, and can’t be well-used by students. None of schools can completely meet national required.3. The music teachers’teaching meathods in primary and secondary schools of YunCheng are still in the old teaching mode.4. Most students’attitude towards to music course in primary and secondary schools of YunCheng is favor, primary students’favor to music course is higher than seconary students. But the students’degree of satisfaction to the teaching music course is not very high. 5. There is no standard and systematic evaluation system of teachers’ teaching effect and students’ learning effect in YunCheng primary and secondary music education. This situation is not favor for teachers’ teaching passion, either for students’ learning enthusiasm.6. Music education difference between YunCheng cities’ primary and secondary schools and villages’ primary and secondary schools is large, the towns and villages’ music teaching equipment, qualified teachers, teaching concept and etc.should be improved.7. The local fork music art develops very well in recent years, just as JiangZhou drumbeats music.But the local excellent fork music and school music education can’t complement each other, the local excellent fork music has not been introduced to the schools’ music education by primary and secondary schools.
