The Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Professors’ Academic Governance From Perspective Of Modern University System

Professors’ academic governance is an issue common attended by China’s highereducation, also is the core content of the modern university system and the key factors ofconstructing the modern university system. This article analysis the problem and reason ofcurrent the professors’ academic governance, demonstrate its status and function of themodern university system, and then puts forward the perfect measures to the professors’academic to promote the constructing of modern university system.In this paper,the historical research methods, literature research methods and case analysismethods are adopted to systematic analysis the professors’ academic governance, and fromthe following three parts discuss it. The first part is system research on the developmenthistory of the modern university system, and then outstanding core content of the constructionof the modern university cannot leave university autonomy, academic freedom and professors’academic governance, define the professor is in important position in constructing the modernuniversity, and then combine the domestic and abroad experience of the professors’academic governance to discuss the content, the main form of organization and its rationalityof the professor’ academic governance. The second part expound the main existing problemof professors’ academic governance, such as college professors’ research ability is insufficient,the power of professor dominating the academic is implementation and administrative poweris in the leading position, and then the misunderstanding of professors’ academicgovernance, unreasonable of university management system, the influence of the ranking ofoffice, the absence of the atmosphere of democratic management and the effect of theprofessors themselves are five aspects to analyzes it’s the cause. The third part is main aboutthe countermeasure to perfect the professors’ academic governance. Through raising people’sunderstanding of the professors’ academic governance, reinforcing the construction ofprofessor team, innovating academic management mechanism, strengthening theorganizational of professors’ academic governance and building the law of professors’academic governance to safeguard professors’ academic governance, and then promote themodern university system reform and development.
