A Study On The Coach Cultivation In Guangdong Sports School

Grass-roots coaches occupy an important position in China’s sports talents cultivation, and their coaching ability in training ability will directly affect the training level, effect and quality of our young athletes. Increasing the coaching ability of grass-roots coaches thereby is the main way to improve the scientific training level of the competitive sports.Guangdong Province is one of China’s economically developed areas, with good economic, cultural and social environment. Since reform and opening up, sports in Guangdong Province has made brilliant achievements. Based on the content, through field visits, I did the questionnaire survey among the coaches in Guangdong Sports School and interviewed them on some relevant content. Combined with literature data collection, this paper does the work of data integration and statistics with such research methods as mathematical statistics. After a comprehensive and detailed study on the current situation of the coach cultivation in Guangdong Sports School and the needs and problems among the coaches, some conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) Grass-roots coaches Guangdong Provincial Sports School have the high demand of receiving training to improve their overall quality, they have a high degree of satisfaction with the cultivation, and their coaching ability has also been improved to some extent. However, there are still some problems, such as training materials, training content, training forms, teachers hiring and the evaluation of training effectiveness, etc.(2) The academic structure of coaches in Guangdong Province has greatly improved; the technical level is relatively high; the age structure is not very reasonable; the structure of coaching experience is relatively reasonable; the exercise is in a high level; the level of coaching is relatively strong. (3) In terms of the training content, the most import ant knowledge in special ized fields and that of basic theories that grass-roots coaches need are specialized training and competition knowledge, knowledge of specialized training, knowledge of sports psychology, specialized rules and knowledge of referees. This can provide a reference for the selection of training content in the future, in order to make the training more targeted.(4) With respect to the training from, novitiate and lectures with special subjects are the most popular, followed by the investigation of training and competition, training classes and seminars. Coaches have a low degree of recognition of other forms of training.(5) In the area of qualified teachers, grass-roots coaches prefer teachers who have practical experience in the training of young people at home and abroad and famous experts on "specialized training".(6) Some important factors in practical training, such as the application ability of training methods and means, the ability of selecting athletes, the innovation ability of training methods and means and the impromptu strain capacity, are the major factors affecting the coaching ability of coaches. Therefore, more attention should be paid to these areas in the future.
