Based on the requirements issued by the English course standard to the reading and writing teaching of junior high school, this article explored the intrinsic links between reading and writing:reading and writing are not only relatively independent but also interdependent. Autonomic reading and writing skills are essential for students to achieve basic quality of personality development. Autonomic reading can help students to get adequate "perception" and "experience" of the words, which is to encourage them to study more (vocabulary and grammar). This also can make them feel great successful. Autonomic reading is not only the goal, but also the effective means to learn English well. At the same time, training and improving the ability of writing can also detect and promote autonomic reading’s exploration and endurance. They push ahead each other. It can clearly be seen that reading and writing are mutually relative and independent. On the one hand, they are different parts in English learning; on the other hand they are related and promoted each other. As the Information Processing theory says that the primary function of brain is to seek information, select, acquire, organize and store actively and to use at the right time. The relation of reading and writing is just the practical use of this theory.This article aims to explore the ways of using autonomic reading to improve junior high students’writing skills. We try to explore the ways to improve the ability of writing through autonomic reading. Before the experiment, we surveyed two classes’attitude, habits, questions of written English. Besides, we carried on questionnaires and interviews among parts of the teachers about the categories of writing teaching, the habits of correcting and the means of evaluating. In the experiments, we tried to guide students to read and accumulate independently and value the style, the perfect layout as well the enjoyment. At the same time, we trained the students under the condition that fully reflected the dominant position of students in practice and improve the skill of writing. We guided them to make use of their known knowledge to create independently. Then they could use the correct words in English expression. In the process of related practice activity, such as reading, accumulating, thinking, and expressing, student can feel the important role of their reading and writing ability. Because autonomic reading help students learn effectively in contacting with the words, phrases, sentences, grammar, essay structures and ways of thought expression, the students will transfer from passive readers of absorbing to authors of simulative creating. This method combines the reading with writing to improve the efficiency of all classes. And for the sake of this realization of the organic integration of reading and writing, an easy implementing teaching model is formed in the teaching practice:selecting reading materials before class, integrating reading and book forms in class, enhancing imitative writing after class. This is the innovation of my article. That is to say. improving the students’reading skills to enhance their writing skills and improving writing skills to enhance the use of reading skills, affect each other. I try my best to explore a new teaching model in English teaching.
