Everyone knows that children are the hope of the nation and the pillar of the future, and the educational issues of our country have been much concerned. With the rise of Co mpetence Education in recent years, new curriculum standard and other educational mov es haved been carried out, people pay more and more attention to art education. IQ is a re flection of a person’s intelligence level, while EQ shows the abilities of individuals to rea lize and control their own emotions as well as to grasp the psychological balance, which r eflects different intrinsic characters among the people in the society. EQ, therefore, has m ore impact on people than IQ, and it influences and determines people’s interpersonal rela tions, work, love and so on. It is no doubt that EQ is so important and essential to realize the value of life and gain good life.Aesthetic process is to develop and improve sound personality, and to promote all-round development of the process. Art is also a kind of emotional art, art education and emotional education can not be separated. Cultivating the students’ emotional intelligence in fine arts education in China is to meet the goals of quality education and promote students’ all-round development. This paper aims to study the importance of EQ, the factors and methods of influencing EQ, the relations between art education of high school and students’ EQ, fine arts teaching goal and how to set it to explore several aspects of art education on students’ emotional quotient cultivation and promote action, analyze the art curriculum teaching to enhance students’ EQ specific pathways, which will have some practical significance in improving and optimizing the teaching activities.
