| Creativity has far-reaching significance for the individual, the society and the nation.College students are the builders and the new force of China in the21st century. Their creative awareness, creative activities and creative abilities will be directly related to China’s development and prosperity in the21st century while the interests in learning stimulate and are the driving force of their creativity. Therefore, the study of college students’problems in creation, providing them with places and ways of creation, and cultivating their creative ability and awareness are of extremely great significance.The existing research results show that creativity is not simply determined by the innate potential or environmental factors but also has a close relationship with the acquired education. Thus, how to develop students’ creativity in the learning process has become a topic of common concern in the education sector around the world in the21st century. Education authorities have increased the intensity of the education reform and adopted a series of measures. For example, many countries have highlighted the importance of creativity in their syllabus and curriculum. However, the current institution both cultivates and suppresses the power of the creative spirit. A reflection on our experience and insufficiency in cultivating college students’ creativity shows that we still have a very long way to go. We strongly believe that only through investigating the development characteristics of the college students’ creativity and the current situation of creative education and stimulating students’ learning interests can the educators, based on the development principle characteristics of college students’creativity, enhance the creative awareness and capabilities of the the college students.This study has covered a specific group of subjects and taken the form of questionnaires. The author has reached the conclusion through applying descriptive statistics and analyzing the weights of all factors influencing the college students’ creativity and learning interests.Through this research, we draw the following conclusions:the college students’ creativity and learning interests can be cultivated. For the practical problems in creative education in China, we suggest several effective strategies such as chaning educational concepts, optimizing the environment for innovation, and diversifying creative activities. |
