With the social development and reform of education in China, our higher vocational education has been fully developed. This new development has brought new challenges to our Vocational School Teachers, behind the Higher Vocational Education of rapid development; there must be the rapid growth in the number of students, although the teachers are constantly expanding. But the development is not balanced.This imbalance refers to that the growth rate of the student teachers’ growth rate far less than the students’.At last this is bound to affect the healthy development of higher vocational education. So, Explore the problem of teachers’ workload in China has a strong theoretical value and practical significance. In this study, it develops a "Wuhan City Vocational School Teachers work load questionnaire on the basis of teacher interviews and documentary research. The questionnaire have three main areas:basic personal information, the overall feel of the vocational teachers’ work load and basic work of investigation, combined with the actual situation of China’s vocational teachers’ work load, and use the literature analysis, comparative analysis of variance analysis, multiple regression analysis and other methods, Form the Teaching workload, the workload of research, teaching, management and social services four aspects, conducted a in-depth analysis of the vocational teacher workload issues and made a relatively unique and innovative ideas and proposals.The full text includes four parts:introduction, research design, research findings and analysis and promotion of a number of recommendations of the rationalization of the vocational teachers’ work load. Among them, the preamble of the first defined of a number of important concepts, and then analyzes the domestic and foreign scholars on the research results of the workload of teachers. The research design section identifies the research perspective, and provides the research hypothesis; use the questionnaire of, the workload of teachers’five vocational colleges in Wuhan City. In this study I sent a total of300questionnaires,280valid questionnaires. The effective rate was93.3%. The survey results partly through detailed data analysis to describe the status of the vocational colleges and teacher workload. The fourth part from the three levels of teachers, school management and educational administration agencies, to promote the proposal to rationalize the workload of teachers. On the one hand, vocational teachers should correct evaluation of the self, rational response to stress, improve their skills and maintain good mental health, and to communicate with their students, develop students’ ability to learn and to create a good class atmosphere; the other hand, require schools to create a fair working environment and harmonious interpersonal environment, the rational management of the environment and mental health of the environment, and building a learning campus.
