Values occupy a very important position in the individual life. Everyone lives under the guidance of the values. Values affect people’s thinking, evaluation, selection and action."Post90" university students are in the key period of forming values. Strengthening "Post90" university students’education of values is very important to their personal growth and the need of social development. At present, our country is in the new period of rapid development. We are faced with a global, informational and multicultural era. Values of "Post90" university students have undergone new changes in the new era. Therefore, it is significant to study the current state and characteristics of "Post90" university students’values, to analyze the main factors in the formation of college students’ view of value and to put forward effective methods and measures to strengthen the value education of "Post90" university students.In this paper, the investigation of "Post90" university students values of four universities in Wuhan are carried out, in which questionnaire is employed. The questionnaire consists of five aspects including outlook on life and value, political value, love and marriage values, career values as well as moral values. We get a lot of real and objective first-hand information. We use SPSS for the related statistical data analysis. On the basis of the analysis, we derive the current situation and characteristics of "Post90" university students’ values. The mainstream of the values of "Post90" university students is healthy and upward, in which patriotism, collectivism and socialist values are the dominant. The life values of "Post90" university students are actively enterprising;"Post90" university students possess rational political views, high political identification and tolerance, pure love and marriage values, pragmatic employment values and a strong independent consciousness and ability of moral cognition. Wholly speaking,"Post90" university students can adhere to the correct criteria of moral evaluation. However, there are also lots of problems in "Post90" university students’values, such as paying too much attention to the realization of self-worth, relatively weak sense of historical mission and social responsibility, utilitarian value orientation and contradictory value cognition and behavior of value."Post90" university students’values have the following four features:values are still diverse; value subjects are more self-centered; value orientation tends to be practical and utilitarian; value cognition and behavior of value are contradictory. Those features are mainly due to market economy, mass media, thoughts of western culture, school education and students’ own factors. Therefore, we should establish the people-oriented principle, directionality principle, combination of advancement and universality principle and practical principle. We should insist that the core values of the socialist system guide the education of values. We should innovate the method of the education of values, adhering to the combination of implicit and explicit education, the combination of education and self-education and carrying forward the combination of Chinese traditions and the essence of western culture and the combination of rational education and emotional education.
