Research And Application On Mobile Learning Based On Cloud Computing

With the rapid development of computer technology and network technology, the learning mode inthe environment of information technology changes constantly. The occurrence of new technology in theeducation field brings new learning methods and learning experience. So are the Computer AssistedInstruction, the Distance Education and the Computer Network Education. Owning to the development ofwireless communication network and mobile terminal equipment, the application scope of the ComputerNetwork Education are greatly expanded and learning activity are also developed from PC to intelligentterminal. Those result in the appearance of a new study mode—Mobile Learning. Without the limitationsof time and space, Mobile Learning enables learners to study at any time and in any place. Mobile learninghas more advantages than traditional learning mode in autonomy, convenience, flexibility, interactivity andcontinuity.The limitation of terminal equipment and the scarcity of mobile learning resource are key constrainsof mobile learning development. However, cloud computing supplies a new way of solving the problem.For cloud computing, the calculation and the storage of task are conducted in the cloud server. As a result,computing and storage work of mobile phone are separated from the machine. So user can customizethrough cloud computing services according to personal need. Thus a lot of works that are realized only inhigh-performance computers before, but now can be finished through the mobile phones with poorconfiguration. In addition, users can share learning resources with the cloud making, the resources ofmobile learning can get the maximum integration and the sharing of resources is also realized.This paper’s work falls into four respects: 1. Theoretical study. Based on the theory of mobile learning and cloud computing, it points out thedisadvantages of mobile learning and puts forward the solution of cloud computing technology.2. Model improvement. Under the guidance of the systematic design method in the Dick and Careyinstructional design model and through integrating creative process of mobile learning environment,equipment and technology in the design model of mobile learning activity, it aims at designing a designmodel of mobile learning activity based on cloud computing.3. Design and implementation. Design and develop the client of cloud computing mobile learning.The client has five functions: autonomous learning, collaborative learning, online office, cloud storage andevaluation management.4. Effect analysis. Through the module picture of system’s main functions, it clears that learners canuse many kinds of educational cloud services providing by cloud computing through the client, thus thelearning process breaks through the limitation of single device, mobile learning resources get integration,and the availability and rationality of solving the scarcity of mobile learning resources based on cloudcomputing are tested.
