| Higher special education in China has been developed for twenty years. The number ofdisabled college graduates is increasing year by year, which provides fresh labor force into thelabor market continuously. However, be influenced by the continuous expansion of collegestudents and the impact of the international financial crisis in recent years, college students’employment pressure gradually increases, and also deaf college students’employmentproblem is increasingly highlighted.Facing the new situation and challenge, foreign and domestic scholars focus onpromoting college students "employability", generally believing that it is the breakthroughpoint to realize the docking of the higher education and social demand for talents,and also isthe key to cracking the problem of employment. On this background, this paper starts atenhancing deaf students’employability, focuses on analyzing deaf college students’employability structure and the influence factors, puts forward the recommendations of deafstudents smoothly obtain the employment.This research takes USEM theory to construct an employability structural model of deafstudents and analyzes the influencing factors of deaf college students’ employment from theperspective of the theory of SWOT in order to provide a basis for the deaf college students’employability survey questionnaire. On the basis of above theories, drawing lessons fromdomestic existing researches to formulate a preparation of initial questionnaire survey. Afterthe project analyses and screening upon the research results initial questionnaire data to formthe formal questionnaire of deaf college students’ employment ability. The formalquestionnaire is tested on validity and reliability. With the questionnaire of deaf collegestudents’ employment ability, this survey takes the deaf students of two colleges of Tianjinand Changchun as the object of study. This article uses SPSS17.0 software to researchquantitatively evaluated the deaf college students’ employability structure and influencefactors,adopts the methods of descriptive analyses,independent samples T test,factoranalysis of variance to analyze the survey status,and draws three conclusions as followed.(1)The four parts to make up deaf student’s employability are autonomy, interpersonal skills,learning ability, adaptability from high to low.(2)There is a different in employability structurebetween the being investigated deaf students and the health.(3)Deaf college students’employability affected by the major, student leader experience, part-time or internshipexperience, community experience, and there exist significant differences.According to the above research conclusions, following countermeasures andsuggestions have been put forward. Establishing and improving the framework of laws andrules on employment. Government should play a leading role in driving the enthusiasm ofenterprises and China Disabled Per-sons Federations, forming a good social environment forthe deaf college students’ employment. Universities and colleges should establish a reasonable training mode. We should improve the system of pre-job training and employment servicesand raise deaf students’ skills for new jobs. Deaf college students should actively participatein social activities, striving to improve their abilities to adapt to rapidly changing situation. |
