The Present Situation Of The North Spring Bench Cultural And Heritage

Dragon dance is a traditional Chinese sports culture. With the majestic vigor and grand and heroic style, dragon dance, which symbolizes luck and happiness, has been widely circulated in all corners of the country and has become the most representative folk activity of festival in most urban and rural areas. Also it is one of the mass project which aims to carry out the mass health-building plan and to enhance physical and mental health of people. The culture of dragon dance is a very important part of dragon culture and "Bench Dragon Dance"(dragon dance which is performed by using benches) in Beiquan is one of the dragon dances, which has skillful and lively shape, colorful forms of performance and has great local features."Bench Dragon Dance in Beiquan" is not only a representative cultural form of Beiquan and the result of the production and life of a few generations of Beiquan people, but also is a precious spiritual wealth in Beiquan. Therefore,"Bench Dragon Dance" has been determined as the intangible cultural heritage of Chongqing and should be protected. With combination of documentary analysis, investigations in field and interview method, the paper made a detailed and through investigation on the present situation and inheritance ways of the mass sports culture and school physical culture of "Beiquan Bench Dragon Dance". The result showed that the culture of "Beiquan Bench Dragon Dance" exists following problems:the lacking of fund and support of government, weak mass basis, shrinking from culture propagate and inherit front, the deletion of spiritual culture, the unicity of inheritance way, the deficiency of flexibility of technology props and the shortage of creativity in routine. All of these elements restrict the inheritance of the culture of Bench Dragon. Therefore, based on deep analyses of the bottleneck problem of the culture of Bench Dragon in the course of protection and inheritance, the author put forward some measures. Such as the combination of living protection and development which includes the following measures:governments should play a leading role and increase investment in the couture of Bench Dragon; strengthening propaganda should be used to create an atmosphere to make local people protect the culture of Bench Dragon consciously; the inheritance of both original ecology and the creativity mode in school should be applied to achieve the most active living protection and inheritance. Another measure is the combination of development and innovation which includes veteran experts’scientific guidance which aims to provide intellectual resources for the inheritance of the culture of Bench Dragon; complementary advantages of the culture and tourism aims to promote the most powerful cultural transmission. The paper is undertaken to offer some theories and methods to realize sustainable development of the intangible cultural heritage of Beiquan Bench Dragon.
