Study On The Construction Of Chinese Residents’ Political Life Quality Index System

Taking LZ of Shandong Province as the research object, construct a political residents quality of political life index system for evaluation by the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, to offer scientific, forward-looking and operability of the measuring tool to enhance people’s political life quality.Through the analysis and integration of the existing quality of political life definition at home and abroad, the writer gives definitions to quality of political life as follows from our social and cultural background. From a variety of theoretical and practical exploration point of view, their common point is containing some common aspects of participation, for example, political attention, democracy, the rule of law, government performance, which is our traditional understanding of political life on the range. In this study, we will define the quality of political life:political benefits enjoyed by the residents under certain social conditions (well-being), a concrete manifestation of the degree of realization of the people in democracy, freedom, the rule of law and the resulting psychological experience. The quality of political life, mainly includes the following two contents: First, the existing state of political life, which points to the objective political welfare of the people, we can build the objective indicators to measure; Second, the subjective feelings of the people on the objective political benefits, usually expressed as satisfaction, which are subjective indicators. Political life quality index system includes three dimensions:democratic participation, rule of law process and government evaluation.This paper consists of six chapters. Chapter one is introduction, and consist of research background, research objective, research significance, research ideas and methods; Chapter Two is about its main content is research status at home and abroad. The third chapter is about the definition of the concept of political life quality index system. The third chapter is a theoretical construction of political life quality index system, including building the theoretical basis, designing principles, theoretical framework, and preliminary put forward political life quality indicators. Chapter four’s main content is construction of quality of political life indicator system by empirical research. It has three parts:research objective, research methods, results and discussion. More specifically, part three includes selecting indicators and preliminary establishing indicators system, exploring the structure of quality of political life indicator system, metrology characteristics analysis, the ultimate formation of quality of political life indicator system and some notes. Chapter five is related with application and analysis of indicator system. It consists of group difference analysis of quality of political life of urban residents. Chapter six is policy values of quality of political life indicator system and public policy proposals. The conclusion part points out the limitation of the present research and problems for further research.
