An Investigation Report Of Private Institutions Of Social Work At The Early Stage Of Development

This investigation report is based on participatory observation in the Social Work Service Center Q in Shenzhen, the writer interview with the agency staff and the service object to research and analysis the difficulties of non-governmental social work agency facing at the early stage. Through the investigation the writer found the reasons in non-governmental social work agency in developing stage include that certain stage inevitable phenomenon, the lack of government policy tilt, available funds transfer cycle is long, low social perception, agency management issues are outstanding especially the lack of developmental vision, etc. According to these reasons, the writer believe the institutions at the early stage should build up confidence, broaden access to resources, improve the ability of managers’ management, attach great importance to staff training and incentive mechanism, increase the institutional measures such as propaganda to promote non-governmental organization of social work smoothly through the initial phase of difficulty and develop constantly.
