Charitable Donors Behavior Influence Factor Research In China

Charity donation is the third way of division of income. During the development of socialist market economy, the charity donation plays an essential role in assembling social money, easing of financial pressure and narrowing the gap between the rich and poor. Therefore it is necessary for us to do a research about the charity donation. However it is always a puzzle and it is also always a topic for Economics, for the economics whose foundation is ’selfish’ is not powerful to explain this activity whose foundation is ’unselfish’. So how to link this two different things together, how to explain the charity donation with economics are problems and what are the factors affecting the donors’ activity are the main contents1have to do research on.Under this background, I focused on the donors’ activity. The charity donors are the main power to improve the development of charity, so how to encourage donors to donate is the first problem we have to solve. In order to solve this problem, we have to figure out the factors to affect the activity. Under this logical thinking, my paper mainly research on the factors affecting the donors’activity. I mainly research the donors’ activities with three models:model of private giving to public goods, model of warm-glow giving and model of impact philanthropy. According to the theory, I made empirical study on the factors affecting philanthropy activity. The factors are donors’income and thinking, the external surroundings donors have to face and the charity culture donors belonging to. From the empirical study I know the first two factors are the main power to affect donors’activity in China. The last two factors are not as so important as the first two factors.In conclusion, in order to encourage donors to do donation and improve the development of our country’s charity, we should increase donors’income and train charity consciousness, make the surroundings better and improve the charity culture atmosphere.
