It’s a common sense that the start of modernization of Japan began in theMeiji Restoration. In regard of the motivation, it is divided into the internal andthe external factors, which depended on the specific historical circumstances. Asfar as Japan’s modernization process, the external pressure, which forcingJapanese realize the world drastic changes and lead to the intensification of itsinternal contradictions. Originating in these internal and external factors, theModern Japanese social consciousness begin to sprout.This article is divided into three parts to explain the intrinsic motivation ofJapan’s modernization. The first part is analysis the basic concepts and theories,and examines the understanding of the studies of modern motivation and theapplicability of the Japanese modern problem. The second part is discriminateseveral theories about Japanese modern power Discrimination, respectively, the "geographic decision theory," the Japanese modern power, from a politicalsystem perspective, the theory of "civilization circle" of Japan’s modernizationand.
