| For this survey about the new generation of migrant workers, the author received497valid questionnaires from four cities in Hebei Province including Shijiazhuang, Tangshan,Handan and Zhangjiakou. The questionnaire covers the new generation of migrantworkers’ employment status, income and consumption status, marriage status, dailyinteractions status and survival predicament. The study and research of statistics show thatthe new generation of migrant workers in Hebei Province have the high quality level,improve their life positively and are eager to adapt to city life. Refering to their work, thenew generation of migrant workers have a strong demand of participating in training andimproving their own levels. At the aspect of spiritual culture, they learn variousknowledge through using the Internet, television, the newspaper and books or throughchatting with fellows. The majority of the new generation of migrant workers live thehappy life; On their future development, they are willing to start their own business orseek higher development. About their rights, the frequency of damaging their rights is lessthan before due to enhancing the new generation of migrant workers’ legal and rightsawareness. But there are some problems for the new generation of migrant workers inHebei Province in terms of employment, work, life, contact and marriage. To solve theseproblems, this article puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures: promoting thesystem innovation to create a favorable policy environment for the new generation ofmigrant workers. The government should accelerate the reform of the householdregistration system to make the new generation of migrant workers become the citizens intheir working cities, actively explore the employment system and perfect the labor market.Providing a complete right protection system for the new generation of migrant workers. Itincludes that promoting legal knowledge to enhance their awareness of right protection,giving a full use of Labor Union, strengthening the legal services and legal aid. Improvingthe social security system to eliminate the worries of the development of the newgeneration of migrant workers. It contains improving the generation of migrant workerssocial security system, speeding up the reform of the social security system to make morenew generation of migrant workers covered by this security system. Carrying outeducation and training program and improving the social competitiveness of the newgeneration of migrant workers. It covers the transformation of the government andenterprises atitudes for the new generation of migrant workers, the transformation of their own ideas for themselves, offering the clear responsibilities and obligations for thegovernment, enterprises, social organizations, and the new generation of migrant workers,establishing training system. Understanding their lives and providing more humane carefor the new generation of migrant workers. The detailed methods include that concerningwith the interaction of the new generation of migrant workers, improving their skills,caring for their marriage status, stabilizing their living conditions, and caring about theirpsychological healthy.The research methods used in this paper contain the comprehensive literature method,survey method, mathematical analysis and inductive and deductive methods.This article’s innovation lies in: first, this study finds that in Hebei Province becauseof the concern and attention which the government pays on the new generation of migrantworkers, the skills of the new generation of migrant workers are improved. They live apositive life. And most of them are satisfied with their life. Second, according to theresults of the questionnaire statistics, there are the problems in the aspect of survival anddevelopment of the new generation migrant workers in Hebei Province. These problemsmainly focus on the job training, housing and social security. Third, based on problems ofthe survival and development of the new generation of migrant workers, this article givessome suggestions and countermeasures on the system innovation, protection of rights andinterests, social security, education and training and humane care aspects. |
