Li Dazhao is the earliest Chinese marxist, he has always take the state and national interests as hisown duty, learning and researching different knowledge and ideas for the road to save the country andthe people. Li Dazhao dare to explore the suitable theory for China’s national conditions in practice, hishumanitarian thought is gradually formed on the basis of the Chinese and the west philosophy essence.Li Dazhao’s humanitarian thoughts has an important position in the process of the sinicization ofmarxism, the research of this topic has great academic significance. At the same time, in view ofChina’s social transition constantly emerging many social problems, the research of this topic also havea certain help on China’s socialist modernization construction and the construction of "harmonioussociety".This paper mainly adopts the literature analysis, comparative analysis, summarization andinduction, and the method of macroscopic and microscopic. This essay explores Li Dazhao’shumanitarianism from freedom to revolution and analyse its Social History Evolution, personalexperience ideological origin and main content of humanitarianism. What’s more, it is significanceboth in theory and practice.This paper holds that Li Dazhao’s humanity thought is a course from freedom to revolution.During this period, the independence of nation and newborn of nation are regarded as the source of histheory. The traditional humanity thought, Western Humanism, and Marxist humanitarianism aredigested through constant theoretical exploration and revolutionary practice and finally formedLiDazhao’s own humanistic thought. LiDazhao’s humanitarianism focuses on the real freedom andliberty which emphases the dignity and value of every person. Furthermore, the theory puts equalemphasis on material growth and spiritual growth, which also carrying forward the traditional cultureby absorbing western culture.
