After reforming and opening in China, there are a large number of the ruralleft-behind children in the village, because their parents work out of the hometown. Thedistribution of the rural left-behind children is extremely concentrated, the most is in thecentral and southern provinces, like Hunan, Sichuan, Anhui, Henan, Guangdong andJiangxi. The proportion of the rural left-behind children in the rural left-behind childrentotal number is more than half, to52%in these provinces. Xiangxi Tujia and MiaoAutonomous Prefecture is located in the northwest of Hunan Province and the Wulingmountainous area east of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is a remote, economic andcultural development level in backward area, where it is a place for the ethnic minorities.Therefore the local presents have to go out of the hometown and look for the survivaland developmental opportunities. Their children are left in the hometown and lookedafter by their parents or relatives. The presents who work out of the hometown are hardto normally communicate with their children and grasp the children’ emotional, moral,behavioral and psychological status. The guardians of the left-behind children takesimple and brutal ideological and moral education methods to the children, due to theyare busy with farm work or other means of subsistence. After traditional patterns ofparents’ rearing and teaching changed, the poor educations of the provisional supervisormake the ideological and moral education problem of the left-behind children prominent.This problem is worth to be concerned and researched.This paper is divided into two parts. The first part is the introduction, an overview of thebackground, research review, theory and the way of the study on left-behind children’sideological and moral education in rural. The second part is the main part of the articleis divided into four chapters. Chapter I, On the left-behind children in rural areas andrural left-behind children moral education standard definition, enhancement of thelogical structure of rigor.Chapter II,find out the ideological and moral status of theleft-behind children in rural of Xiangxi through investigation and analysis. ChapterIIIdiscuss the problems of ideological and moral education on the left-behind children inrural from the aspect of government, school, family and society. Chapter IV discussesthe solutions for education of ideological and moral of left-behind children in rural areas.The government should lead the management of the left-behind children’s ideologicaland moral education in rural, establishing left-behind children organizations at all levels.The school responsible for the primary job of the left-behind children’s education andmanagement work. Establish the guardianship system out of the school for left-behindchildren at communities; the guardian should fulfill the responsibility of guardianship.A well atmosphere for the ideological and moral education care for children left-behind can be formed in the whole society through efforts of all concerned and integration ofresources effective.
