Network Privacy Protection Research

Since the advent of the Internet in the1960s, it has gone deep into all aspects of ourlives with its rapid development. Network has been completed from a communication toolto a mode of existence of the human change and its influence has gone far beyond any kindof information transfer mode before. With the development of e-government and thepromotion of social services network, all kinds of data and information online has beenshared and it greatly improves the quality of people’s lives. But at the same time,unprecedented threats and challenges on the network personal living space and privacyhave appearanced with the improvement of the internet. In the online world, thephenomenon of willful violation of others privacy is rampant, online privacy protection hasbecome a bottleneck to restricting the development of the network industry, and it is a hotissue in the privacy system. The legal profession and the judicial practice need resolve theissue with urgentment.The main purpose of this paper is to provide a theoretical basis, and network privacyprotection recommendations on internet privacy protection, in order to protect people’sinternet privacy better and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of othersexerciseand promote the development of the Network Society.In this paper, author analyzes the concept of online privacy, characteristics and statusquo of China’s internet privacy protection, problems, and draws the experience of theUnited States and the European Union Internet privacy protection, and then proposes ournetwork privacy mode–the mode of legislation-based system, supplemented by industryself-regulation.
