Since China began its community building in the2090s, cities have accumulated a wealth of practical experience on community building, while academia has done abroad and in_depth research on the basic theory of the community management under the market economic system, which lead to abundant results in academy.With the increasing progress of the urbanization, floating population is increasing. They most choose to live in the suburbs which cost lower.This area is the cross zone of city and country with community consists of native residents, farms and floating population. The efficient management should be strengthen or this area will become the origin of the instability and insecurity of the society. Therefore, the study on the strengthening of the community management in suburbs will provide academical reference for strengthening community management, as well as interceding and conforming conflicts and interests entanglement in the community, building up the conscious and ability of democratic self-government, maintaining the stability of society according to the rules of the community, and promoting the development of the community.This article analyses the problems existed in the main body, systems and environment of the management of the suburbs, on the basis of sorting theories of community management in and abroad the country. It summarizes the experience and problems of the present community management in countries and cities, and use successful mode of community management in China as reference. On this basis, the article analyse the community management status, primary effect and existent problems of DongTing Street, XiShan district,compare the two existing management mode and put forward the suggestion to strengthen community management in suburbs.
