On The Negative Effects Of Technology Alienation On Human Life

The progress and application of technology brought tremendous change in our daily life, accelerating the pace of human’s modernization development. However, the alienation development of technology brought a lot of negative effects to human being, caused the pursuit of human freedom and comprehensive development facing of obstacles. This article used the alienation theory of Karl Marx as a guide to analysis the negative essence and source of technology alienation, to find out the active pathways on eliminating the technology alienation.Firstly, based on the inspection of historical background and theoretical source of Marx’s alienation theory, summed up the basic ideas that the main body of alienation was the real person, the essence of alienation was the alienation of human nature, human practice was the ultimate power to eliminate the alienation. Secondly, from the five levels as production, association, consumption, religion and ecology on human life to analysis the negative effects of technology, and making a penetrating and theoretical analysis from three levels as human purpose’s alienation, human essence’s alienation and human rational value’s alienation, found out the expanding of instrumental reason and the lack of value rationality was the root of technology alienation. Finally, this article discussing how to eliminate technology alienation and realizing human freedom and comprehensive development based on the scientific value rationality and philosophical perspective.
