Investigation And Research On The Ideological And Political Work To City Migrant Workers

City migrant workers’ ideological and political work is an important research subject. To strengthen and improve the city migrant workers’ ideological and political work is an objective need of national reform and development, is a need to maintain social stability, is necessary for the construction of harmonious society, is an internal need to play the " Lifeline" role of ideological and political work, and also is a fundamental requirement to accelerate the migrant workers into the city society.Based on literature review and the research of my tutor, this thesis had a scientific definition to the meaning of migrant workers and ideological and political work, and elaborated the position and the importance of city migrant workers’ ideological and political work. On the basis of the above, taking questionnaires as the main way and having informal discussions and interviews as auxiliary way, had a sampling survey in migrant workers in Kunming city and Dali city, surveyed random samples of402migrant workers and232workers, and researched thorough the ideological status of migrant workers, the status of migrant workers’ ideological and political work, the experience and deficiency. Through this survey, we find government attached great importance to the problems of rural migrant workers, at present, and had put forward many requirements and goals, but the overall situation was not as decent as expected, there were still large blind spots and errors in the ideological and political work of city migrant workers. The migrant workers’ living conditions is hard, and their ideological status is worrying. Migrant workers, at the edge of cities, is a marginalized groups, they can not enjoy fair national treatment, in terms of employment, income, public services, social security and so on. and then produces a series of psychological, emotional behavior, thought, difficulties and problems. As a vulnerable groups in cities, migrant workers need not only material help to solve deficient, they need more attention and concern, need education and guidance on psychological and mental, need humanistic care and spiritual care. City migrant workers’ ideological and political work is not very ideal, there exist many problems, whether in the thought understanding, work team construction, work contents, ways, methods, work carrier, working effect and so on. In order to solve these problems, in this paper, based on an empirical research, with the combination of theoretical research, put forward the trains of thought and countermeasures to strengthen and improve the ideological and political work of migrant workers:The whole society, especially the leaders of all levels should treat migrant workers ideological and political work from the height of building harmonious society; We should have the specialized agencies and full-time staff to do migrant workers’ ideological and political work; Migrant workers’ ideological and political work should be institutionalized, normalization, specific and extend it’s coverage; City migrant workers ideological and political work should rely on the city community, set service site to help migrant workers, to let works of migrant workers falls to real point; Migrant workers have many difficulties, we should carry out ideological and political work combining with to solve their employment and life difficulties; Migrant workers’ ideological and psychological problems is very special, professional personnels should be involved in to reach effective assistance; To further establish and perfect the social security system for migrant workers and to carry out effectively; To strengthen the propaganda and mobilization work, and to make the whole society to care and support the work for migrant workers.
