After the cold war, the drug problem is the key point in the relationship between the United States and Columbia. By studyig the similarities and differences, the cooperation and divergence of the drug problem between the United States and Columbia, we can demonstrate the characteristic of the measures towards their cooperation of drug control and help seek out the reasons for the differences of drugs policy implementation result and the expected effect concerning the drug diplomacy of the two countries. By means of the drug control cooperation, the United States and Columbia’s relationship is rather favourable. They have set a good example to enhance the cooperation of drug control in the whole world. Analysing and deliberating the cooperation and divergence of the two countries can help us better understand the effects that the drug problem has caused.
