Study Of Chinese Grass-roots Democracy On Development Experience And System Construction

The grass-roots democracy is extensive and profound practice of socialist democracy，it isnot only an important part of China’s political construction and political reform，but also animportant prerequisite and necessary to ensure social harmony. The classic writers of Marxismgives great attention on grass-roots democracy construction，their theory discussions areimportant theoretical guidance for China. In addition，the Chinese Communists have beencommitted to the construction of grass-roots democracy，and has accumulated a lot of practicalexperience.Chinese grass-roots democracy follows the principle of taking care of the most people’sinterests，adapting to economic and social development requires，strengthening the law andpolicy formulation and adhering to the party and government leadership，up to now，our countryhas gotten great achievements on rural area，urban communities，enterprises and within theparty’s democracy. At the same time，our country’s democracy construction also facing withsome problems，such as lacking of effective laws and regulations，people’s political enthusiasmand management skills. All those problems deeply influenced the development of grass-rootsdemocracy.In order to develop grass-roots democracy，we have to improve autonomy system，participation system，security system and management system. Specifically，we need to makegreat efforts to protect people’s democratic rights，to enhance people’s political literacy，toenlarge the scope of autonomy，to expand the channels for democratic participation，in addition，we still have to strengthen relevant measures of safeguard and renew our managementknowledge，only in that way，can we obtain greater progress.
