Research Of The Problems And Solutions On Handling Mass Disturbance Caused By Migrant Workers

Based on the concept of social justice is the basic condition for socialharmony and it is the government’s responsibility to improve social justice, thisessay aims to analyze the different interests of migrant workers and the rootcause for mass incidents of migrant workers to find out solutions to avoid therepeat of such incidents and to provide theoretical reference for governmentdecision-making. The essay consists of four parts. The first part is the analysis ofbasic concepts and theories to be theoretically ready for exploring the causes forand countermeasures of mass incidents of migrant workers. This part includestheories on mass incidents, household registration mechanism and social justice.The second part focuses on the governance of migrant workers through analysisof the the situation and characteristics of migrant workers. The third part is theanalysis of the causes for mass incidents of migrant workers comprising thedirect cause as the poor access to interest demands, the deep cause as thestructural imbalance of social authorities and the root cause as the outstandingsocial injustice. Through thorough and meticulous analysis, this part finallyreveals the root cause for mass incidents of migrant workers is social injustice.The fourth part points out the final solution to mass incidents of migrant workers is the realization of social justice and the ways to achieve social justice. Thispart is the core of this essay and consists of the analysis of the relations betweenhousehold registration mechanism and social justice, and the exploration intohousehold registration mechanism reform. Based on the study of the history ofhousehold registration mechanism of China and its positive function andnegative effect on this country, this part points out household registrationmechanism is the root cause for the interests difference of migrant workers andthe fundamental solution to social injustice is the reform of householdregistration mechanism, corresponding suggestions are also proposed.
