| Having developed for45years, ASEAN was widely questioned when first established, butstill stubbornly survived, and seems to be growing rapidly in recent years. With deepening ofglobalization and developing towards the ASEAN Community, existing problems of ASEANitself are gradually exposed in its growing process, of which its deficiency of security regime is asignificant one.By collating data of the related information of literature and news websites, using theoriesof neoliberal institutionalism’s international regimes as a theoretical approach, the Preah VihearTemple conflict between Cambodia and Thailand as a case, the author summarized the fourcomponents of ASEAN’s security regime (principles, norms, rules and decision-making process),and used Robert Keohane’s functional theory to analyze the related function deficiency ofASEAN’s security regime, and finally tried to figure ways out of it from the theoretical aspects. |
