The Nature Of The New Democracy Theory

The theory of New Democracy is an important part of Mao Zedong Thought, and it is one of thehot issues on academic research. In recent years, some scholars believe that the new democratictheory is composed of two parts，the new democratic social theory and the new democraticrevolution theory. This argument has been side with part of the scholars. Insisted on the newdemocratic society theory, scholars try to prove that a new democratic society was existed beforeand after founding of PRC.However, the new democratic social theory is not true. This statement has never been officiallyrecognized. At the same time the theory has its own contradictions. The new democratic societytheory should be a part of the new democratic revolution theory. Moreover, the new democraticsociety is not an independent social morphology. The founding of the People’s Republic of Chinais a sign of the end of the new democratic revolution. This ending is also a signal which shows thebeginning of socialist revolution. It is a period of transition, not a new democratic society.In this period, a socialist transformation had been holding. The socialist transformation is ahistorical necessity. Although with some bequeath problems, the achievements of thetransformation are far greater than the mistakes. We should treat the socialist transformationcorrectly.To deny the socialist transformation is the main reason that some scholars want to promote thenew democratic society theory. From their perspectives, the new democratic society is equivalentto the current reform and opening up. The aim is to illustrate the present repeats the history andrepair the mistakes. Then they can deny the Mao Zedong’s historical status, the socialist road.They also publicize that today is the new democratic society, or new capitalist society. So the "newdemocratic society" has become a weapon of some people to struggle with the socialist.We should penetrate its disguise, and exposed it. In the future, we must continue to develop andadhere to Marxism, Mao Zedong Thoughts and theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. So we can broaden our path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and ensurethat the truth of Marxism of contemporary China shines even more brightly.
