“Non Credea Mirati” is a coloratura soprano aria in the third act of VincenzoBellini’s opera, La sonnambula (The Sleepwalker), which was composed in1830. Thecomposer composed a pretty rhythm by presenting some poetic libretto, making it oneof the best arias of Bellini. As a result, this aria has been favored and admired by mostcoloratura soprano singers in the world, and has been performed on stage time aftertime. There is much research on La sonnambula and Amina, but most of whichfocuses on a general overview of Amina editions are lacking. To understand andsing this aria better, the writer has made an exploratory study of four different singingeditions, which are performed by Maria Callas、Joan Sutherland、Edita Gruberova、Dilber Yunus. These four editions have been highly acclaimed at home and abroadsince the20th century. This paper made a comparative study of these four editionsfrom their tones, styles, speed and force as well as their different disposing methods inthe cadenza.
