The Call Of The Dream

My thesis is trying to analyze a method of art by specific art cases, which is exactly the main method that I used during my creation of the graduation work. I reveal the irrational side of human being, through the analysis of the irrational factors of human spirit and behavior. The confliction between: those irrational factors of human spirit and modern life had triggered a lot of art works, including Kafka’s literary works. Kafka explored a new writing style, which is the combination of dream and reality. For my creation, the interest in the irrational factors of human spirit is also the starting point of my art creation. And both the skill and purpose of the surrealism factors in my work are quite similar with what Kafka has done in his novel. That’s the reason why the analysis of Kafka’s novel is also the explanation of my own art opinion, which is to achieve the "combination of dream and reality" in the context of image.
