Metafunction Perspective Of Expression And Realization Of Network Session Speech Meaning

In recent decades, with the rise of computers and the communicating on the Internet has not only become the new fashion, but also evolved into a very important method of communication in real life. Currently, Internet conversation covers areas such as learning, living, entertainment, culture and politics. It is generally used for daily contact, emotion exchanges and opinion expression. This new way of communication is bound to bring changes to language communication. The speech used in an Internet conversation is called "the Internet conversation speech".Previous studies on Internet language mostly focus on the internal structure of sentences, and rest on descriptions of the static structure. In this paper, the study on Internet language is brought into the category of discourse, and the Internet conversation speech is studied on a larger platform, so that the study of Internet discourse is promoted, and we can provide better guidance on communication and serve the population.In this paper, the Halliday Metafunction framework, combined with some viewpoints from systemic functional linguistics, is used to study the Internet conversation speech about the language resources it uses and the characteristics it reflects when expressing and achieving the three aspects:ideational meaning, textual meaning and interpersonal meaning. By applying the method of comparative analysis, in this case, comparing daily conversation with Internet conversation, the surface characteristics reflected by the Internet conversation speech when expressing and achieving bottom "meaning potential" is revealed. This paper is also a practice on the Metafunction theory, especially the interpersonal function theory. This paper is divided into a total of six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, including the types of Internet conversations, the definition of Internet conversation speech, an overview of Internet language study, the research object and purpose of this study, and the theoretical framework. Chapter2studies the characteristics of Internet conversation context in terms of field, tenor and mode. The third chapter discusses the unique types of expressing ideational meanings of Internet conversation speech, and analyzes the rules and characteristics of the expression. Chapter4points out that Internet conversation speech can use non-verbal means to express textual meaning by a contrastive study between everyday conversation and Internet conversation, revealing the characteristics. Chapter5focuses on the discussion of common means as well as unique means to realize interpersonal meaning and the factor of time. This chapter also studies the multiple characters in the realization of interpersonal meanings, the relationships between the expression and realization of ideational,textual and interpersonal meaning in the form of questionnaire research. The sixth chapter is a summary of this article and reflection. It summarizes the contents of this paper, draws the relevant conclusions, and points out the lack of the article and the prospect.
