Ethics And Analysis Of The Relationship Between Public Opinion

In recent years, under the leadership of the Party and government, public opinion of our country which not only reflects the fit of public power and public opinion, but builds equal communicating environment for people, has made an unprecedented development. In addition, the development of online medium makes the media show a faster trend. Although the environment is more free, a series of moral problems arise at the same time. On one hand, we should analysis positive and negative aspects of public opinion, the operating mechanism, as well as historical values by ethics research, thus recognizing the positive role which public opinion plays and great significance of it. On the other hand, we should research the relationship between ethics and public opinion to seek public opinion moral issues, to create a vibrant environment of public opinion.The paper is divided into four parts:Firstly, I discuss the concept of public opinion by history, definition and three important properties. Then clarify the relationship between public opinion and morality by the analysis of the nature of morality.Secondly, I discuss effects of public opinion on morality. I elaborate the role of public opinion on morality and formation of conscience from myth opinion and clan opinion. Then, I analyze moral law to self-discipline through public opinion, and discuss the role of public opinion on moral law to self-discipline. Finally, I propose that the role of public opinion to promote the socialist ethics.Thirdly, I discuss the influence of morality on the formation of public opinion. Here, the formation of public opinion is divided into three parts:early stages of public opinion, lead of opinion chief and his suggestions, and the last formation of public opinion. What’s more, the influence of morality on the three parts should be elaborated thoroughly.At last, practical problems should be solved by the theory of ethics and public opinion. In this chapter, I analyze ethical issues for public opinion in society and seek an effective solution for it.
