Korean Chinese Rhetorical Acquisition Research

This article, in order to inquire into the acquisition of Chinese rhetorical questions by Korean students, has conducted a research on15rhetorical questions in the corpus, and made statistics on output of each rhetorical questions, and made a comparison with use of rhetorical questions by those Chinese native speakers, and examined the output ratio of each rhetorical question. Through conducting a questionnaire survey and listening comprehension testing, we examined awareness and perception of each rhetorical question. Finally, we put forward suggestions on teaching rhetorical questions on Korean students based on output of Chinese and Korean, questionnaire, listening comprehension testing, order of difficulty of acquisition.This article is divided into eight parts:Chapter One, introduction. This part briefs on basis information such as its meaning, material sourcese, research methodologies and ideas.Articel Two, summary of revelant research. This part summarizes outcome of research on rhetorical questions by acedemia for several decades.Chapter Three, based on comparitive analysis, made a comparison of forms of Chinese and Korean rhetorical questions in an attempt to find out the similarities and dissimilarities.Chapter Four, through an analysis on output of15Chinese and Korean rhetorical questions in corpus by students, and a comparison with output by native speakers, it is found that the Korean students’output on most part of the rhetorical questions is special-form rhetorical question. In addition, we examined output of rhetorical question in Korean language corpus.Chapter Five, through questionnaire survey, we examined the Korean students’awareness of rhetorical questions. We have also conducted survey on native speakers, and discussed Korean students’awareness of Chinese rhetorical question through comparison. Generally speaking, Korean students’awareness of rhetorical question is less than that of native speakers.Chapter Six, we conducted a listening comprehension test on perception of input of Chinese rhetorical question by Korean students, the accuracy ratio of which is reletively high, probably due to that the difficulty of the testing questions is not high. In this part we discussed the perception of each rhetorical question by Korean students.Chapter Seven, according to research on Korean students’response to15rhetorical questions above mentioned, we put forward relevant proposals on establishment and arrangement of each rhetorical question in the textbooks.Chapter Eight, Conclusion. This part concludes the main content, the issues already solved and drawbacks and deficiencies, and put forward the direction for further research.
