Word teaching that runs through the whole teaching is the essential link inforeign language teaching. The being of much near-synonymy provides abundancecorpus for Chinese teaching, which makes the expression of Chinese flexible andappropriate. But meanwhile, near-synonymy has the similar meaning and form, whichbrings much difficulty to foreign students on Chinese studying. The research onnear-synonymy matures with each passing day in the field of Chinese ontologyresearch, but a lot of teaching and researching methods based on ontology can notmeet the need of Chinese teaching because of the particularity of the teaching objectand objective. So, finding the most suitable teaching methods and tactic has been theurgent problem. First, this thesis clarifies the term of near-synonymy, and then beginsfrom the example of the foreign students’ acquisition error, summarizes and analysesthe examples according to the characteristics of the error, proposes the effective wayand tactics on near-synonymy teaching based on the methods of Chinese ontologyanalysis in combination with teaching practice. This thesis mainly includes five parts. The first part summarizes the definition and three determinant methods ofsynonymy and near-synonymy, and points out that adopting the name ofnear-synonymy is more suitable during the process of teaching and research, andfinally defines the research object and range. The second part expounds several types of error, which can be divided threeaspects by analyzing the error collected,“lexical meaning”,“different word kinds”and “color significance”.The third part analysis the reasons of appearing error by integrating the errortypes. The reasons come from the feature of Chinese and the difference between targetlanguage and mother tongue, otherwise fuzzy and cumbersome explanation indictionary is also another reason. The fourth part reviews several methods of analyzing near-synonymy from thepoint of Chinese ontology, and focuses on the application of the three-plane theorythat provides effective methods in Chinese near-synonym teaching. The fifth part proposes the tactics and problems in Chinese near-synonymteaching based on the above four parts. During Chinese near-synonym teaching, weshould avoid the occurrence of error as little as possible, attach weight to morpheme, and pay more attention to the combination of context and Chinese culture knowledge.
