Lack of readingstrategies training, the students cannot really know how to read and how to learn, whichresults in poor learning outcomes. Neither of reading ability or independent learning abilitycan be improved. In order to effectively solve the problems above, the key is to strengthenthe reading strategy design research. Combined the strategy training with the Englishreading web course, develop students reading strategy awareness and strategy skills, inorder to raise the English reading and independent learning ability. In this study, the research methods of literature research, questionnaire survey, contentanalysis and individual interviews are applied to survey and analyze the present collegeEnglish reading web course design and the use of reading strategies by college students. And then, this paper summarizes the following problems: for student, weak readinginternal motivation and strategy consciousness, inactive interactive, and lack of learningsupervision.
