"Revenge" is a constant motif which has been described in both of the ancient and modern literature. Revenge narrative in modern Chinese literature is closely related to the context of political culture. By the unique perspective of political culture, we are trying to study the way of revenge narrative been related to modern political culture, the variation of "revenge" in the traditional Chinese Confucianism and in the context of political culture. Additionally, we are trying to study the impact of the political culture psychology of modern writers on the strategy of revenge narrative. To echo the political culture demands from enlightenment to salvation, revenge narrative in modern political culture established a modrn discourse of political revenge, with the loss of the traditional ethics and justice. At the same time, the aesthetic pursuance of literature, and the reaction of literature to political discourse, also triggered the revenge theme in modrn literature interpreted deeply. The relation of revenge narrative and political culture highlight the artistic style, narrative, style and other aspects of new aesthetic forms. Revenge narrative contains the advocacy of a strong personality and the justice imagination. It also contains the reflection on the survival plight, and the pursuit of spiritual home. Revenge narrative in the context of modern political culture had a profound impact on contemporary revenge narrative.
