In The New Century Yunnan Film Studies

Since21th century, with the active support of the local government, new century has brought Yunnan movies back to new life and many excellent movies have come out, which contribute to well-known Yunnan image and are a vivid contrast to previous movies set in Yunnan. Affected by the policy that cultural industry was considered on of supportive industries, people have carried out a series of systematical theory research, concluded experience and found many shortcomings. Obviously, so far there have been lacks of research materials concerned. Considering these factors above, the paper has focused on the movies of Yunnan subjects since21th century and reflected the local characteristics of Yunnan movies, including Yunnan regional characteristics, the history of film development, pattern, camera and narrative language, unique consuming concept and so on. The first chapter mainly aims to define the concept of Yunnan movies and have a simple review for the accumulation of its history. After that, this paper analyzes the development Yunnan movies in new century, which concludes its language environment of times and realistic opportunity; the second chapter concludes the type of movies which have regional features of Yunnan and camera language system. It also gives a detailed analysis of the totally new travel movies, which have both the characteristics of times and regional features of Yunnan. The third chapter reveals new century’s language appeal in others’narrative strategy and unique content in consuming language situation from a macro-angle. This paper refers to many aspects such as Philosophy, Aesthetics and Film studies, Psychology, Communication, Anthropology, and Cultural-geography and so on. With the guidance of movie theory, people have done some research on Yunnan theme movies. So some defects have been remedied. Therefore, the paper has significant meaning in some researches on travel movies, narrative strategy language relation of new century Yunnan movies.
