Painting Creation And Theory Research

Dan Dang is an eminent painter who is good at poetizing, painting and pen craft. Heis a person who cannot be ignored in history of Chinese art, particularly in YunnanArt History. In painting and art theory, Dan Dang not only inherits the essence oftraditional art paintings, but also creats a unique painting style contributed by thecomplexity of historical changes and special life experiences. In particular letters,Dan Dang pushed the development of the arts in Yunnan to peak. His distinctive andoriginal sense of contradict art world made him depicted a unique style of playsymbols in the creation of art.This article attempts to analyze the impact of Dan Dang’s art creation and thespecialty of his artistic theory on arts development in Yunnan Province, as well asthe contribution of Chinese art history from four aspects. First, analyzes sources ofDan Dang’s artistic thought exploring the complexity of historical background andthe variability of the dynasties in which he lived, the specialty of his life experiences,and the succession relationship in his road to the doorway of art. Secondly, from thepen and ink perspective of paintings, combined with analysis of specific artproduction, to indicate the special understanding and practice of brush and ink inDan Dang’s art creation. Third, from the "meditation" and "carefree" of the paintingconcept, to analyze the special illustration of Dan Dang’s thought towards "frame ofmind". Fourth, from Dan Dang’s special status as a monk, to analyze theembodiment of Zen Buddhist ideas in his art creation and art theory; and itsinfluence on Dan Dang’s artistic expression and achievements.In the development of Chinese art history, Dan Dang’s value is not only expressed onthe achievements and contributions of hit paintings, but also expressed through thehumanities and the artistic spirit in it. Due to the limitations of history, people beginto re-recognize this great artist after three hundred years; the specificity of its painting and theory has to be expatiated in this article over and over again, as well asto give the “Name Rectification” for Dan Dang.
