European film and American film were in an antagonisticrelationship in nearly a century, what the former represented is thetradition of art film, and the latter represented the tradition ofcommercial film. With the development of film art, the directors haveless and less prejudice in the film language,the American film stillmaintains its global influence in the world, the European filmmakershave not defended stubbornly the "rules"of art film, on the contrary,therm have begun to learn and absorb the advantages of Americanmovies. Since the seventies and eighties of last century, the filmdirectors in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and other countries havemoved to the ways of popular creation, Rainer Werner Fassbinder andPedro Almodóvar are two of this term. Their films both inherited theartistic tradition of the film in Europe and absorbed the American filmsnarrative strategy, formed a special cinematic style, and they havemade impressive achievements both in commercial and art areas.Fassbinder and Almodóvar has the similar experience in filmmaking, they all came form a small city and arrived the metropolisalone when them young,and depended on their talents and diligent,they condensed some youths who have a common goal,and obtainedthe success finally. As for the creation stratification plane, Fassbinderand Almodóvar both are world-famous female film director, the femalesubject was their common topic of creation. Fassbinders womentetralogy represents the pinnacle of his film career, almost all of the filmsof Pedro Almodóvars female narrative center. Such as "The Marriage ofMaria Braun","Lily Marlene","Women on the Verge of a NervousBreakdown "and" High Heels ",they had directed a large number ofgreat female film, as we have shaped many unforgettable image ofwomen.
