The dissertation mainly elaborates Lacan’s theory of language andunconsciousness, as well as its inspiration and the influence for the literary criticism,and analyzes the language structure of "Jin Ping Mei" and its major character’sunconsciousness. In the part of introduction, summarizes Lacan’s research conditionand the level in domestic and foreign, and then explains the value and writing goal ofthe dissertation.This dissertation divides into four chapters, the first chapter elaborates in detailLacan’s language view, analyzes the difference of signifier between Lacan andSaussure, then by the analysis of “The Purloined Letter”, researches the inspiration ofLacan’s signifier to the literary criticism, explains Lacan’s symbolic languagestructure.The second chapter is the actual text analysis using the theory in the first chapter,explains the novel symbol of narrative structure by comparing “Jin Ping Mei” withcontemporary novel, constructs the depth structure by pure signifier “Guan Ge”, anddescribes the function of pure signifier.The third chapter introduces unconsciousness theory of Lacan, explains it frombelow aspects, the structure of unconsciousness is the same as language,unconsciousness is other’s words as well as the subject of unconsciousness is realsubject. Lacan utilizes other to explain Hamlet’s procrastination, he carries on thecreative elaboration for his procrastination. Finally, explains that unconsciousness isreal subject, and analyzes Lacan’s subject from his famous L pattern.The Fourth chapter mainly analyzes the major character of "Jin Ping Mei"—Menqing Xi, Jinlian Pan, ping’er Li, Chunmei Pang by Lacan’s unconsciousness,Further explain Lacan’s unconsciousness from the concrete literary criticism. Whenwe analyze Menqing Xi, we see the human’s schizophrenia suffering the depressionof the social power. here, we regard the social culture and the background as Lacan’sother, when we analyzes Jinlian Pan, we mainly explain unconsciousness desire fromthe metaphor and the extension, but when we discuss Ping’er Li, we explain her tragedy destiny from “Other” time, finally, we explain the complex disposition ofChunmei Pang from “other” and “Other”.Conclusion part, the viewpoint of “literature end theory” is explained, describesthe value of literature for “reading”, and consequently explains the value of thedissertation lies in its behavior itself.
