His works style is plain and touching. He always focuson people and things in real life, concerns the life of common people, pays attention to the socialproblems, transfers and calls for true love, shapes screen images, vivid and truly touching. Hisworks grasps the time pulse and promotes the spirit of the age, grasps the themes of the times,purifies the heart and urges the human to advance boldly.The thesis is divided into four parts. The introduction part briefly introduces the directorZhang Shaolin and basic information of his works, and simply discusses the researchachievement about his works in the academic circle. The first chapter mainly introduces thefeatures of his TV plays. His works covers a wide range of topics. The topic is the true portrayalof rural reform, urbanized population’s living conditions and emotional care, great passion forinnocence, honest and beauty, and modern interpretation to historical romances. The secondchapter successfully uses the audio-visual language, details’capture and the skills of contrast togive in-depth analysis of unique artistic techniques about his works. The third chapter makes acase analysis of <Ditch People> <Water Margin> <Through the Zebra Crossing>. The fourthchapter probes deeply into social value and significance of his works. Zhang Shaolin’s worksfully reflect democratic humanistic care and strong sense of social obligation, which we shouldlearn and have. He undertakes diversified exploration to the non-serial plays, and also providessome reference to the non-serial plays’creation in our country. The last chapter is the conclusionpart and gives a neat summary of his works’features.According to the analysis and research to Zhang Shaolin’s TV plays, in my review, hisworks use the unique artistic technique and expressive audiovisual language to truly record spiritof the times, profoundly reflect the real life, warmly praise perfection, which makes audienceshave the intense sympathetic chord. Zhang Shaolin and his works reflect democratic human relations, create very real characters and his diversified exploration to non-serial plays to play apositive role and influence to Chinese TV plays’creation and development in the future.
