| The early Northern Song Ci Poetry world has been the hot study of the Song dynasty CiPoetry. The early Northern Song Ci Poetry world has an important status in the developinghistory of Song Ci. Among the early Northern Song Ci poet, Yan Shu, Ou Yangxiu, Lou Yong,Su Shi and Qin Guan has been paid close attention by the research community. However, ZhangXian who has a contributed position in the history of poetry has been paid little attention orignored by the academia. This paper regards Ci of Zhang Xian as research object and then does asystematic research and evaluation towards the Ci’s historical position of Zhang Xian, so as togive Zhang Xian a reasonable position in the history of Song Ci and even in the whole Chinesehistory of Ci. The paper is divided into five parts, including the introduction, the first chapter, thesecond chapter, the third chapter and the conclusion.The introduction mainly introduces the current situation, the significance and the researchmethods of this paper. In academia, scholars lack systematic research on Zhang Xian’s Ci, whichis mentioned incidentally when talking about Ci in the early Northern Song. Zhang Xian’s Ci hashardly ever been attended as the center, not to mention its’ position in the history of Song Ci andeven in the whole Chinese history of Ci. Actually in the Qing dynasty, Chen Tingzhuo’sBaiyuzhai cihua has had a clear understanding towards the historical value of Zhang Xian’s Ci.But he hasn’t done specific thorough understanding and interpretation. The value andsignificance of Zhang Xian’s Ci has not yet perceived by the academia.The first chapter is the system analysis of Zhang Xian’s Ci. The chapter primarily discussesfrom three parts, the unique flavor of Xiaoling, the novel chic Manci and the rich varioussequences behind the subject. Zhang Xian’s Xiaoling has deep lasting appeal and heavy meaning.Zhang Xian takes this Xiaoling creation method into the production of Manci. It makes hisManci short but have endless meanings, which is different from Liu Yong’s narrative Manci.Zhang Xian is the first person that uses various sequences behind the subject, which not onlybreaks the old system of Ci and enriches the new system of Ci, but also affects a lot of laterpoets.The second chapter is the style analysis of Zhang Xian’s Ci. The style of Zhang Xian’s Cifollows Jin song’s lasting appeal and Zhang Xian has his own innovation. So that the mostprominent style feature of his Ci lies in its implication and lasting appeal, which directly influentSu Shi’s poems for Ci and Jiang Kui’s singing and lasting appeal. Zhang Xian creates theShouying form of Ci. It changes the sweet soft ethos of Huajian clique and forms its thin andconcise style, which has an profound influence on later literary intelligentsia. The third chapter explores the criticism towards Zhang Xian’s Ci. The materials of the Cicriticism, both in the contemporary and later generations, talks about Zhang Xian’s Ci for manytimes. These materials contribute to give Zhang Xian’s Ci a contributed position in the history ofCi.The conclusion summarizes views of the paper. This part underscores Zhang Xian’s effortson inheritance and innovation and makes him the transfer between ancient and modern, so as toestablish Zhang Xian’s Ci a contributed position in the history of Song Ci and even in the wholeChinese history of Ci. |
