Bsam yas gtsug lag khang is the first Tibetan monastery which possessed of Buddha, Darma and Monk, and had played one key role in the Buddhism history of Tibent the Tibetan Buddhism art. But, this important monastery had suffered destroy and rebuild more times, so, there even are not any relic have been reserved now, and there are great different between Tubo’s bsam yas and today’i bsam yas, in architecture, statues and wall paintings. Therefore, if we want to reconstruct the art history of bsam yas, we just can dependent the materials of Tibetan and Chinese, so, this thesis is my attempt to study those materials by the method of history. First, I will translate and annotate those Tibetan resources, through that we can get the accordant depictions about the architecture, statues and wall paintings of bsam yas. The second step is to place those statues and wall paintings in the reasonable location according to the result of first step. In the meantime I also try to resolve some problems that relevant with my theme, like that:the relationship of those four Tibetan materials, the transformation of the narrative model about bsam yas, and so on.
