With the rapid development of China’s subway network,the applicationOf public art in the metro space was recognized, acceptanced and concern.This paper is based on this background. This thesis to public art as thecoordinate spatial relations and the media of the population needs, focus onhow to better application of public art to improve the space environment, tosupport use function of the subway space, to meet the aesthetic and Practicalneeds of users, to enhance the cultural quality of metro space and highlight thecharacteristics of regional culture. On the basis of the subway spacemorphology and use crowd demand investigation, proposed the design of theprinciples and elements of application performance in this space of publicart.Finally,combined with public art design practice of Kunming subwayChenggong north station, using the method of questionnaire investigation,collection of different perspective of feeling and specific time and space ofrequirements to public art,explore application of public art in the metro space. |
