Currently, the worldwide "Chinese fever" tide warms up continuously, more and more foreigners begin learning Chinese. Though many foreign students come to study in China Each year, most of the foreign learners are still studing Chinese in their domestic non-target language environment. Non-target language environment is lack of natural learning and exercising atmosphere, so students are lack of natural language acquisition behaviors. Learn from my one-year Chinese teaching experience in Thailand, I get to understand that network medias play an important role in Chinese learning under non-target language environment. It becomes one of the most important channels for foreign students to learn Chinese under the non-target language environment. Therefore, studying the application of network media in the non-target language environment of Chinese learning is very important and necessary.This paper attempts to discuss the application of network media in helping teachers to create useful learning environment for foreigners learning Chinese under non-target language environment, and try to find effective ways and methods in learning Chinese by application of network media. Guided by the two languages acquisition theory and constructivist theory, this paper has firstly analyzed the present situation in applying network media in learning Chinese under non-target language environment, and pointed out the importance of applying network media to learn Chinese; and then with the example of students from Thailand Khon Kaen University using the network media to learn Chinese, the paper has focused on investigating of current application of QQ network media as well as the advantages and disadvantages; finally, the paper pointed out the feasibility and suggestions of using QQ network medium to create language practice environment for students to learn Chinese.Observation, questionnaire survey, interview, case study were used to make this study. This paper highlights on the investigation of QQ network media application status under the non-target language environment in Chinese learning. It analyzed the relationship between QQ network media and language elements, language skills training. It put forward specific teachers intervention program according to writer’s own experience. Such as creating Chinese learning group on internet, organizing discussion topics, making communication exercise by QQ chat, making writing by QQ zone, making reading by QQ reading. These strategies and methods, are designed to provide some enlightenment and lessons in learning Chinese with the aid of network media under the non-target language environment.
