The stylistic of Ancient Chinese novels seems to make it difficult to contact withthe music because it is unlike the ancient Chinese poetry which has strict soundlegal system, it can be used with music concerts, also it can be sung to music andhas a close marriage relationship with music. But as a matter of fact, there iscomplicated internal relationship between the creation of Chinese Ancient Poetryand music，which has been found in both fiction text and the creation of the novelist.And this relation can be called Music Complex. In this paper the author will find outsome elements of music from Chinese Ancient Fiction and the music complex fromthe ancient fictionists’ inner mind.In this paper, the music complex is studied as a theoretical term. I have beentrying to summarize and make innovations on the basis of a few results in order toimprove the modern research system between ancient Chinese novels and musicand to fill the blank which has not yet touched on music complex theory of theancient Chinese novel.Music Complex contains a double implication, psychology and symbolic. Themeaning of psychology also has two aspects.On one side, there are original memories and perceptual experiences whichare hidden in fictionists’ inner mind, and that it is also one part of human collectiveunconscious. As a kind of human universal spirits, and it reflects that ancientpeople worship music very much. Besides, music, as one of the most ancient arts,it also leaves an everlasting impression in the process of hundreds of humancivilization and psychology developing. Moreover, it makes some original memories,perceptual experiences and picture such as voice, melody, tone, notes precipitateinto the depths of the human brain tissue in a obscure and chaotic way collectiveunconsciously At the same time,as one kind of basic human universal spirit, it isheritage from generation to generation all over the world.Although the ancient fictionists even haven’t received music-related educationand edification, they also have music complex which as an mental energyprecipitated in the hearts of fictionists’ unconscious, it would never disappear inunreleased state, it will still be where it belongs churn endless.So as for the novelists, whether they have musical background or not, theiroriginal Music Complex is always revealed intentionally or unintentionally intheir process of writing fiction novels. On the other side, The novelist, as a creative subject, they will be affected bythe developing of single art and the music culture when they write the fictionist. Ancient novel style evolution mainly refersto the evolution from the story-telling in Tang and song folk literature to the novelsof the Ming and Qing Dynasty. Under the rheological chain is the flowing of musiccomplex, and the music dialogue of story-telling in Tang and song folk literaturehave influenced the structures of Vernacular Novels and novels of the Ming andQing Dynasty. In the basis of intertextuality theory, the author analysised themusical elements such as melody lyrics, singing, music, picture poetry reference inthe novels of before the Tang Dynasty,and explained how music complex inancient novel penetration.
